TESTIMONY
SAEDA and AWEL are 14 and 13 years old respectively. They are children of cross cousins. Their moms are single mothers and are petty traders. Their children grew up in the same house like brother and sister. They were attending their lesson in the primary school of Basso Mile when the conflict in Ethiopia started. Due to the conflict, civilians and especially children are suffering heavily. Among these victims, Saeda and Awel had their left legs amputated and Awel also wounded his right hand after an artillery that struck their home earlier in November 2021

PROGRESS REPORT
We are delighted to report that, thanks to your generosity, Awel and Saeda have received their prosthetic legs in 2022 and have returned to school. Although their journey to rehabilitation is far from over, they are standing tall and forging ahead in order to continue their education and support their single mothers.
This was only made possible through the many helping hands that supported them through E Shining Hope. We hope to continue to support many deserving children in the same way and will keep you updated on the progress of Awel and Saeda in the future
